The actual tweezer from the story *
Hello, Sparkling Minds!
I am writing this blog because I am delighted that spring is almost here (well, in this part of the world). The transition from one season to another always triggers personal reflections, and I am excited to share my thoughts and experiences with you all.
This week’s post is about raising awareness that there is a time and a season for everything, and everyone has their time to shine. The most important thing is that we should be ready when that season/opportunity turns to our turn to spread our wings to flight! This brings me to the story I want to share with you all called The Tweezer, it’s a life story that happened and I learned from this experience.
It was not long ago when I wanted to send something to my sister. I love quality purses. I am not the going-out type, but I like seeing them being showcased (remember, we read, and we don’t judge…haha). Anyway, there was one of my purses I wanted to send to her, but I felt nah, let me give her one that I had not worn before, so I had this beautiful multicolored bag that had its dust bag. I was about to show her through a video call. I realized when I opened the dust bag to show her the purse one of the strings that drew the dust bag had gone inside the tiny openings where the strings were, so it was challenging to bring it out through the small openings unless I cut it with scissors, which will damage the dust bag. So, I left it and gave it to my mother to give to my sister, but I was not happy about it, and as I being me, I racked my brain on what to do. It was actually a day later I realized I could use a tweezer; however, I did not know if I had one, but I remembered a while ago, my daughter was using it for something, so I decided to check one of my drawers and behold, the tweezer was just lying there peacefully in the drawer. Now, I had not used this tweezer before because I was not in need of it, so it was there for years unnoticed; however, one day, it was needed to solve a problem and meet a need. I took it and went to my mother to get the dust bag, and ladies and gentlemen, it did not take up to one minute to bring out the other string, and I was able to draw the string nicely to secure the bag in its dust bag safely.

Okay, what are the lessons learned or morals behind this experience? Everyone is created to solve a problem or meet a need, but there is always a time and season for it. All we need to do is to be connected to knowing when it is our time and season. How can you be connected? First of all, you have to be connected by getting prepared. How do you get prepared? It is by working towards your purpose. We have shared on this platform how and why it is essential to know our purpose, which is why we were created. We must work towards it (or I will say run with it) to get better every day, whether it is fine-tuning a skill, investing in programs to develop your expertise, or anything that enhances your purpose. For instance, if your purpose is to be a great writer, you can take writing courses, read extensively, and practice writing every day. Then, when an opportunity comes, which is your time and season, success is sure. If we trace it back to my experiences shared, the tweezer already knew its purpose and was ready to be used (be valuable, meet a need) when the opportunity came. Remember, it was there unnoticed for years, but one day it was needed. I cannot explain, but during that period for some weird reasons, I needed the tweezer for other things, realizing more of its usefulness. I just used it this past weekend as it became so valuable that it graduated from my drawer to my makeup bag, which, in a woman’s world, is a significant upgrade for the tweezer.

The more you get prepared and connect yourself with that opportunity, like the tweezer, you begin to realize other areas for you to be valuable, which will definitely lead to advancement, promotion, and more success. You have to be patient and focus on your wavelength, not someone else’s. By ‘your wavelength,’ I mean your unique path, your journey towards your purpose as we came into this world with different purposes to fulfill and in other times and seasons. Do not be caught up with people doing more than you. The only difference is that their time and season might be before yours, which is okay because yours is undoubtedly coming, so focus on your wavelength and connect to yours. If not, you end up missing the opportunity when your time and seasons go by because you are distracted by other people’s opportunities.
Who can remember when Eric Yuan created the Zoom app? Only a few people made good use of it; it was not that popular. However, years later, there was a time and season for it to become so valuable that people, even professionals, depended solely on it during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was even during this season, and afterward, Zoom started adding more features and adding more value to people’s productivity. It became so valuable that Eric Yuan became very successful as the stock for Zoom exponentially increased. So, the more you work on your purpose and run with it, the more value is discovered to meet other types of needs like the tweezer and Zoom.
So, thoughtful people, be mindful to know that you are valuable and that you have a purpose to fulfill. Work towards it and run with it as you prepare for the opportunity when your time and season come. We are all useful in our own special ways. No one is useless except we want to make ourselves useless.
I will leave you all with this mathematical equation, which I hope serves you all well.

The equation is Preparedness + Opportunity = Success
This equation represents the balance between preparation and opportunity, a concept often attributed to success. But as the equation shows, success is not just a random event; it’s the result of preparation meeting opportunity.
I hope this post resonates with each of you as we strive to empower not just ourselves but also the generations to come. In the comment section below, let’s engage in thoughtful discussions around this week’s post, fostering a spirit of learning and growth together as a community.
Until the next post…xoxo,
