Hello Thoughtful People!
I am here with another thought for today, confidence building. This is one of the most beautiful self-journeys I have encountered, and my reason for sharing this with you all.
Have you ever felt like you lacked more confidence to pursue your dreams or fulfill your purpose? It’s a familiar feeling; trust me, I have been there, but the good news is that there is a solution – emotional intelligence.
Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize and manage your own emotions, as well as the emotions of others. By developing emotional intelligence, you can build confidence, improve your relationships, and ultimately fulfill your purpose.
So, how do you build emotional intelligence? One way is to practice self-awareness. Take the time to reflect on your own emotions and identify the triggers that cause you to feel anxious or insecure. The key word here takes time, which means it is a journey of self. You need to take time to discover yourself to be self-aware emotionally; once you understand, you will own emotional patterns, and you can begin to manage them more effectively.
Another key aspect of emotional intelligence is empathy. By putting yourself in someone else’s shoes, you can better understand their perspective and respond in a way that is compassionate and thoughtful. This can lead to stronger relationships and a greater sense of fulfillment in your life. This helps to build your self-confidence in how you interact with others and how people see you.

Finally, it’s important to practice self-care. This means taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It can be easier said than done, but it needs to be a deliberate act, which is something I need to be intentional about. By prioritizing your own needs, you will have the energy and confidence to pursue your purpose and achieve your goals.
To illustrate the power of emotional intelligence, consider the story of Sara, a young entrepreneur who struggled with confidence and self-doubt. She is a lovely lady, but she looks down on herself. Even after her successes, she felt it could be better. She decided to take the initiative to start a journey to self. Through practicing self-awareness and empathy, she was able to build stronger relationships with her clients and collaborators. By prioritizing self-care, she found the energy and motivation to pursue her vision and build a successful business.
Sara’s story is a motivation to me and an excellent example of how to build confidence through emotional intelligence.

So thoughtful people, building confidence with emotional intelligence is a powerful tool for fulfilling your purpose and achieving your goals. By practicing emotional self-awareness, empathy, and self-care, you can develop the emotional intelligence you need to build the life you want. So, why not start today?
Do not hesitate to share with us if you have encountered a journey to yourself and how that impacted your self-confidence; we will be happy to learn from your experiences.

Wow, Sparkles! It just gets juicier! You know it is so interesting as I just had this discussion with someone about how we need to start learning how to be emotionally intelligent. This is very important, because emotional people tend to not be taken seriously, in my opinion. So being emotionally intelligent will make one one factual in their expressions. It builds confidence and respect.
This is a must-read!
Smiley Face!
Thank you for always being so supportive! It is very important we take that journey of self-discovery. It is amazing how it makes one so self aware of themselves and how it builds self confidence as one become emotionally intelligent!
I hope people learn from this, as they are very intellectual people out there, however lack emotional intelligence, which makes them look sometimes irrational due to their response hence to your point, not taken seriously.

I read the first comment and I smiled. I only just scolded someone this morning who turned down a speaking engagement because she felt she wasn’t good enough, confident in her abilities. To be honest, I often feel this way but I never let it stop me. I recently applied for a program I assumed I wasn’t good enough for or well accomplished for but to my surprise, my selection email came in less than 2 days… I looked at the line up of people in the program and I was wondering how I would match up but just because I had spoken to myself that 2024 is my year of BIG and MORE, I am going to knock at that door and speak up whenever I can irrespective of the outcome or not…. so cheers to you to Sparkles, I am super proud of this venture.. I will definitely pop in from time to time. Cheers to you
