Hey there, Thoughtful People! It’s your girl, Sparkles, and today, I want to share my thoughts on a topic that’s close to my heart: Value in Relationships!
Have you ever thought about why the relationships you value tend to last longer? Whether it’s a friendship, a romantic partnership, a business relationship, or even a religious connection, the key to longevity lies in the value you place on that relationship. As someone who knows the importance of valuing others, spending time on someone or something is a surefire sign that you recognize its worth. It’s that kind of commitment that makes a relationship thrive and gives you relevance in return. But how do you know if you’re truly valued in a relationship?
One way to measure that is by looking at the time invested in you. The level of commitment and sacrifice that comes with that investment is a clear indication of how much someone appreciates you. For me, one of the most valuable things we can have in life is the knowledge that we are loved by a higher power. That’s why I find it so beautiful that God sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and remove us from a state of condemnation into eternal life, John 3:16. It’s a powerful reminder of the value we hold as human beings. So do not allow anyone to make you feel devalued! What a sacrifice!
It also indicates that to stay relevant and valued in any relationship, you must be willing to make sacrifices and bring something to the relationship. That means committing to the purpose of the relationship and doing everything you can to make it thrive. The more value you get into the relationship, the more impact you’ll make and the more relevant you’ll become.
Most importantly, value in relationships is a communal thing, not just one-sided. So, my dear Thoughtful People, I encourage you to ask yourself what makes you valuable in the relationships that matter to you. Let’s share our thoughts and ideas in the comments section and learn from each other. After all, we’re all here to grow!
Stay Thoughtful!
Sparkles, this is a deep post that can create threads of conservation. However, one thing I can share as you stated in your post, the time I invest in someone shows how much I value the person and likewise others to me. So, I will value those that value me because it takes a delibrate act to do it due to the busy world we live in today. Thanks always!
Smiley Face, you know this is actually a 2024 goal for me? Value those that value me. Spend time with those that take the time to invest time in me. As relationship is a two way street.
Thank you for your time and it us appreciated!
