Hey there, it’s your favorite thought-provoking personality, Sparkles, and I’m back with another engaging topic: unlearning to relearn. In a world where change is the only constant, it’s crucial to be adaptable and willing to let go of old ways of thinking. We all have preconceived notions and beliefs that may no longer be valid or relevant, and being stuck in our practices can be detrimental to personal and professional growth. That’s why unlearning and relearning are essential for staying relevant and thriving in a rapidly changing world.
As we approach the end of 2023, it’s a perfect time to reflect on areas where we need to unlearn and relearn specific approaches to stay on top of our game. The means of doing things decades ago cannot be applied to the ways in which we approach specific areas today. This world is evolving, and it requires new ways, means, and methods of doing things. People’s mindsets are also changing, which means we must be open-minded and willing to let go of preconceived notions to relearn specific skills and knowledge applicable to the current context.
But how does this apply to our way of life, i.e., culture and tradition? Certain traditions have been held sacred for many decades, which have translated to the culture and way of life of people in specific communities. So, the question we should ask ourselves is, “Are there ways traditions and culture can still be preserved while unlearning or relearning specific approaches to accommodate future generations for it to stay relevant?”
Let’s engage in a thought-provoking conversation in the comments section and share our views on this topic. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers, as we are here to learn from each other and grow. Let’s join the conversation and share our thoughts on how unlearning and relearning can be applied to our lives and culture to stay relevant in an ever-evolving world. This is Sparkles signing off.
I am looking forward to hearing from all of you!

These are current issues most people are dealing with because they are stuck in their ways. The way I was brought up is different in today’s time especially with culture and tradition, which is the beauty and identity of any community. How I view it is, it will be beneficial to stop the old ways of doing certain things and relearn to apply new approaches that will still preserve the culture and tradition and also, stay relevant in today’s time.
Smiley Face, it shows how it is very important to realize that there is a gap that needs to be filled. Therefore, we need to unlearn, learn, and relearn to connect these gaps and still make valuable cultures and traditions stay relevant.
Thank you for your time and stay thoughtful,
Sparkles!
Parenting is one thing that has also changed over the years. I remember how Parents used to be so stern and strict and wouldn’t allow children to voice their opinion. However, in this era, the children’s view and opinion matters and this has played a vital role helping Parents have a deep intuitive understanding as to what is happening to their children which has also helped reduce bullying .
Thank you Adey for your thoughtful comment!
This means there is a huge disconnect between generations (i.e. age brackets) and there is need for a reconciliation to build a bridge for our future generations to understand certain actions without misunderstanding reactions.
This is a process that we all need to start putting into fruition.
Stay Thoughtful,
Sparkles!
